28 – Biography of Ahmose
The start of the famous biography of Ahmose son of Ebana, who fought under the Pharaoh Ahmose I. The biography details the campaigns he fought and the honours given to him by a grateful Pharaoh.
29 – Saqqara
Djoser’s step pyramid at Saqqara, the oldest pyramid, designed by the architect Imhotep.
32 – Heb Sed court
The Heb Sed court of Djoser. The Heb Sed festival celebrated 30 years of a Pharaoh’s reign. During the festival the Pharaoh would have to prove his fitness to rule by running around the perimeter of his Heb Sed court.
34 – Sphynx
The Sphynx with the pyramid of Kafre in the background. Taken at the valley temple which lies at the bottom of the ramp connecting the temple with the pyramid.
